Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment,  that is made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, Profhilo® stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin.

Profhilo® contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market and not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck but it  can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity.   • The area being treated is cleaned with an alcohol swab and if necessary, numbing cream can be applied, however, this procedure is generally well tolerated without numbing.

    A series of tiny injections are then strategically placed around the treatment area, to facilitate the maximum possible effect.

    These injections are superficial, which means they do not penetrate deep into the skin. Before and after photos will be taken.

  • If any of the following apply to you, unfortunately you are not a suitable candidate for this treatment:

    Pregnant or breastfeeding.

    Under the age of 18.

    Skin infection in the treatment area.

    Allergy to Hyaluronic Acid or any other ingredients.

    Allergy to Lidocaine.

    Skin conditions in the treatment area: eczema, psoriasis.

    Blood coagulation disorders or use of anticoagulant drugs.

    Uncontrolled diabetes.

  • Pre-care instructions:

    Avoid topical Retinol creams for 3 days prior.

    Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours prior.

    Avoid peels or exfoliating treatments for 1 week prior.

    Avoid aspirin or ibuprofen 48 hours prior.

    On the day instructions:

    Arrive without any foundation on your face.

    You may take paracetamol and a non-drowsy antihistamine 1 hour proir.

  • Please ensure the following aftercare instructions are followed for optimal results and to avoid adverse reactions:

    No Retinol, AHA/BHA's for 3 days.

    Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

    Do not apply make up for 24 hours.

    Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen for 48 hours.

    Use a cold compress intermittently for swelling. Do not use ice.

    Avoid facials, chemical peels, laser resurfacing or microneedling for 2 weeks.

    Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours.

    Avoid UV exposure, sun beds, saunas and steam rooms for 2 weeks.

  • It is important to be aware that, like any medical/cosmetic procedure, there is a possibility of experiencing side effects. It's essential to remember that the majority of patients do not encounter any adverse reactions. Side effects are determined by lifestyle, adhering to after-care instructions and individual response to the treatment.
